Bhairav Kunda trek is a newly opened trekking destination known for exploring lake named ‘Bhairav Kunda’at an altitude (4,240m) in Sindhupalchok district. Bhairav Kunda Trek can be classified as pilgrimage trek as it takes you to the petrified pilgrimage site.  The route has been able to preserve its uniqueness intact. Along with serene lake, one can see the dense rhododendron forests, lush valleys, and beautiful mountains.

Besides the divine journey, this trek offers Mountain views of Rolwaling range, Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), Phurbi Ghhyachu (6,637m), Madiya (6,257m),  Jugal Himal and the magnificent Tibetan Himalayan range. You can also observe close-up views of different Glaciers and Tibetan plateaus. It will be best trekking destination to explore and observe its vicinity. Furthermore, moving downward to Sherpa Gaon you can travel around the dense forest with the splendid range of Jugal Himal. Best time to travel

Every year thousands of Hindu pilgrims visit Bhairav Kunda during the full moon in the month of ‘Bhadra’ (August). The trekking is possible throughout the year. However, the suitable time for this trekking is spring and autumn. It is better to avoid this trek in the monsoon as the trails become slippery and will be risky.

Itinerary


Day 1 Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu.

Day 2 Trek preparation and Kathmandu Valley Sihgtseeing tour.

Day 3 Kathmandu (1350m.) - Jalbire (1000m.) Drive by Bus about 4-5 hours.

Day 4 Jalbire - Chanaute (1350m.) 4hours walk.

Day 5 Chanaute - Khani Gaon (2000m.) 6hours walk.

Day 6 Rest day with Local Village sightseeing.

Day 7 Khani Gaun - Forest Camp (3150m.) 6-7 hours walk.

Day 8 Forest Camp - Pati (3765m.) 5 hours walk.

Day 9 Pati - Bhairab Kunda (4250m.) 3 hours walk.

Day 10 Bhairab Kunda - Sherpa Gaun (2500m.) After Sunrise view 6-7 hours walk.

Day 11 Sherpa Gaun - Larcha (1500m.) and visit Hot spring (Kodari highway).

Day 12 Larcha - Kathmandu drive by bus 5-6 hours.

Day 13 Leisure day in Kathmandu.

Day 14 Transfer to international airport for your final departure. Farewell.
