Ganesh Himal area is a sub-range of the Himalayas located in north-central part of Nepal. It is the most isolated and least explored area.The Trisuli Gandaki valley on the east separates Ganesh Himal from the Langtang Himal.The range lies about 70 km north-northwest of Kathmandu.The big mountain scenery of Ganesh Himal is astonishing. Ganesh Himal derives its name from the Elephant-headed god in Hindu religion.
Ganesh Himal area is the less trekked area.Since it is a new trekking trail you won’t see many tourists around. so you are allowing to walk in a peaceful and quiet environment. It offers one of the best trekking experiences in Nepal with an insight into the local culture and natural beauty. Furthermore, the paths that you will follow are simply a creation of nature. Some of them are Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Manaslu, and others.Shing La Pass situated at 4200m is the highest point in this trek.You will enjoy the majestic views of all the Ganesh Himal peaks. As well as glaciers, gorges, hot natural spas and charming Tamang villages. In addition, the most interesting feature of this trek is the presence of the precious Ruby stone and crystal stones. That is why this trekking area is newly named as “Ruby Valley Trekking”.
